Local library association to host fundraiser
The Commonwealth Association of Archives, Libraries and Museums will be hosting a fundraising event on Oct. 17, 2014, at the Pacific Islands Club, 6pm to 9pm. CAALM is a local non-profit library organization composed of members from the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library, Public School System, and Northern Marianas College.
Funds raised by individual members will go toward defraying the cost of attending the 24th annual Pacific Islands Association of Libraries, Archives and Museums conference on Nov. 10 – 15 in Koror, Palau. Participation in this event will allow CNMI librarians to collaborate and establish networks with colleagues throughout Micronesia.
