LTA registering for hotel certification
The Latte Training Academy has started the newest cohort of its Skills, Tasks And Results Training, or START, under its Hotel & Hospitality training program. The START certification is accredited through the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute and has been a flagship certification program since 2010.
“The START program certification has been highly sought after with a large percentage of participants working within our tourism industry. This training provides participants with a well-rounded knowledge base [that] carries across multiple areas of the hotel and hospitality industry. We have many employers seeking out our participants as they know that our certified graduates come with the skills and knowledge that allow them to quickly contribute to their organization” said LTA executive director Arielle Buyum.
The newest cohort is scheduled to start on Aug. 6, 2018, and will run Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3pm to 5pm at the Latte Training Academy’s training facility on the third floor of the Marianas Business Plaza. Interested participants can register for the course online at www.lattetrainingacademy.com.
Eligible U.S. workers are able to avail of the training through the LTA’s partnership with the CNMI Scholarship Office.
“The START program is one of the most popular training certifications we offer. Many participants know that employment opportunities await them following the conclusion of the program, so we generally have a long waiting list. With the opportunity to utilize funding available from the CNMI Scholarship Office, we are able to offer more classes and serve a wider segment of our population. We are currently accepting registrations for the program [but] seats are filling up fast. We encourage anyone interested to visit our website and register for their seat in the upcoming class,” said LTA president Juan-Carlos Benitez. (PR)
