Man, 50, arrested for alleged sexual abuse of girl

Police arrested Friday a 50-year-old man for allegedly sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl at a residence in Dandan.

Domingo Lantican Dy was taken to the Superior Court yesterday afternoon for a bail hearing on the charge of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree. His bail was set at $10,000 cash.

Police detective Jason T. Tarkong stated in his report that police officers responded Thursday to a reported sexual abuse of a minor.

Tarkong said the incident happened on Wednesday when the girl told her mother that Dy made her touch his privates in the shower room.

During his interview with police, Dy allegedly stated that he was only joking when he asked the girl to touch his privates and denied that the girl actually touched him.
