Man in drug trafficking case to plead guilty

A men involved in a group of alleged drug traffickers would be changing his initial not guilty plea to guilty.

Xiao Ping Wang, 41, is one of others allegedly involved in a group of individuals who distribute drugs under the alias “brother.”

Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph Camacho scheduled Wang for a change of plea hearing on June 27 at 1:30pm.

Wang is facing two charges of drug trafficking following a sting operation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Task Force.

Wang is one of several other “brothers” currently in jail custody who are awaiting trial.

According to court information, Wang was arrested following two sting operations in 2018, on Dec. 12 and on Dec. 17.

Wang is being tried for unlawfully manufacturing, delivering, or possessing the controlled substance methamphetamine.
