Like what it does every year, the Manta Ray Battalion of Saipan Southern High School helped out again at the American Red Cross annual walkathon.
In total, 36 cadets, including their instructor, SGM (ret.) Joaquin Kiyoshi volunteered at the walkathon, held on April 1, 2017, starting at the 4H building in Susupe.
About 10 cadets volunteered to help set up the day before.
Cadets of the Manta Ray Battalion arrived at the event around 5:30am. They were in charge of helping pedestrians cross the street and monitoring the vehicles that come in and out of the event. (PR)
