McDonald’s Saipan donated $3,000 to the Rotary Club of Saipan yesterday at the club’s regular Tuesday meeting at Hyatt Regency Saipan. The amount donated were for the annual Rotary McFun Run that happened last June 22.
McDonald’s Saipan is a major sponsor of the event and Rotary Club past president Greg Borja thanked the company for their contribution. “For everyone who came out and supported the McFun Run, we really appreciate your support,” Borja said.
The event was a 5-kilometer run that started from the Carolinian Utt in Garapan to the National Office Supply and back.
All proceeds of the McFun Run will go toward the Polio Plus Foundation. The Rotary Club is a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.
Current Rotary Club president Marcia Ayuyu hopes that this fun run will continue for many more years.
