Military training at W-517, Guam waters

ASAN, Guam—The U.S. military will conduct training at Warning Area 517 (W-517) during the following dates and times:

-Aug. 22, from 8am to 11pm

-Aug. 23, from 5-7pm

-Aug. 24, and 26 from 9am to 6pm

-Aug. 28, from 11am to 7pm

-Aug. 30, from noon to 6pm

The U.S. military will also conduct training in waters around Guam within a 5-mile nautical radius during the following dates and times:

-Aug. 23, from 9am to 6pm

-Aug. 26, from 6am to 6pm

It is recommended the public, fishermen, and marine tour operators monitor the Coast Guard broadcast notice to mariners for advisories.

Santa Rosa Reef and Galvez Bank are open for public use. W-517 begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. (PR)
