MINA’s ‘12 Days of Giveaways’ starts today!

With the holiday season in full force, the Micronesia Islands Nature Alliance is giving the island community a chance to win exciting prizes through their Plastic Bag Challenge 12 Days of Giveaways.
From now through Dec. 22, 2015, a person who uses any type of reusable or eco-friendly bag at any grocery store and snaps a photo of themselves using it at the checkout counter can enter MINA’s Plastic Bag Challenge 12 Days of Giveaways for a chance to win prizes. They must post their photo on MINA’s Facebook page with a caption #iChooseToReuse to enter.
According to program manager Becky Furey, “MINA wants to reward those that refuse plastic bags at the checkout counter. We encourage everyone to be more environmentally conscious during this holiday shopping season.”
