The Mommy and Me Fun Night tomorrow evening at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe will have 16 booths, treats, a raffle drawing, and live entertainment. The event is from 6pm to 9pm and is free to the public.

The Mommy and Me Fun Night, which the Office of Youth Affairs is holding in recognition of May 2019 being Women’s Health Month, is intended for mothers and their children.

The booths, according to special assistant for the Youth Affairs Office Monique B. Sablan, include Department of Community and Cultural Affairs’ mwar mwar making; CNMI Public School System Head Start program’s crafting and beading; Stellar Marianas’ crown crafting; Joeten-Kiyu Public Library’s CNMI Motheread program bookmark making; Community Guidance Center counseling program coloring and puzzle station; Northern Marianas College’s disk dunk; Chiku Chiku hair accessories’ table raffle; among many more.

There will be raffle drawings throughout the evening with a “special prize” for the first 50 children who complete the event passport.
Live entertainment would be provided by Tanapag Middle School, Francis Nogis, Nate Ada, and the Junior Serenaders, to name a few.

“The event will focus on learning more about available resources in relation to health, wellness, and self-care from our partnering booths,” Sablan said in a previous statement, adding that the event is open to all mothers, mother figures, and children of all ages.

The Youth Affairs Office coordinated the event with the Commonwealth Health Care Corp.’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau.
