Popular Chinese actress and entertainer Rachel Momo visited The Marianas on June 21-27, 2018, on a FAM tour organized by the Marianas Visitors Authority in cooperation with two Chinese media outlets.
Will 10 million fans on Sina Weibo and 4.8 million fans on Douvin, the most popular video social platform in China, Momo has appeared on several popular TV series and reality shows. In addition to sharing photos on her social media, Momo was accompanied by a shooting crew to produce a video feature for Haibao.com and a cover story for the August issue of Nexus magazine.
“Rachel Momo has a tremendous social media following and during her visit posted numerous photos and videos showing how The Marianas is ideal for FITs—free, independent travelers—to experience sailing, driving tours, open markets, and other activities,” said MVA Marketing manager Broc Calvo. “We extend a big thank you to all of our MVA members on Saipan and Tinian who supported this FAM tour.”
Eateries visited including Hard Rock Café Saipan, Kinpachi Restaurant, JC Café, Nam Dae Moon, Salty’s, Loco Taco, and Fiesta Resort & Spa’s Joyful Dinner Show. The crew also filmed in Hyatt Regency Saipan, where they also lodged and were given a welcome dinner on June 22. The crew visited some of the most iconic places in Saipan and Tinian, including Japanese bunkers,
San Juan Beach, Banzai Cliff, downtown Garapan, Taga Beach, House of Taga, Blow Hole, and Broadway. (PR)
