CNMI fighters Josh “Chaos” Duenas and cousins Roman “Sonic Boom” and Shane “Pikaboo” Alvarez are upbeat for their respective undercard bouts in tomorrow’s Pacific Xtreme Combat 50 at the University of Guam Calvo Fieldhouse.
Duenas is hoping to end his winless streak in the PXC when he faces New Zealand’s Kai Cara-France in a flyweight bout, Roman will take on another Kiwi in Mark Abelardo in the featherweight division while Shane Alvarez and Japan’s Yutaro Muramoto face off in a bantamweight match.
Trench Tech promoter Cuki Alvarez and Ken “Kamikazi” Tanzawa will be the cornermen of the three and Frank “The Crank” Camacho, who will clash with Tyrone “Bones” Jones for the vacant PXC lightweight belt in one of the two title bouts.
Yusuke Yachi of Japan will defend his PXC featherweight title against Alex Volkanovski in the semi main event.
Cuki Alvarez said he expects all four fighters to make the weight in today’s weigh in at Cars Plus in Maite.
“[They are] on point. All of them have less than 10 lbs to cut. At this point, that is good. The [last] days are crunch time. They will drop the last few pounds before the fight,” added Cuki Alvarez.
