NMI flags return to full-staff yesterday

All American and CNMI flags returned to full-staff yesterday, at sunset, signaling the interment of Sen. John Sidney McCain III, who passed away on Aug. 25.

Lt. Gov. Victor B. Hocog, in his capacity as acting governor, had all American and CNMI flags lowered to half-staff starting on Aug. 28, in honor of the life and service of McCain.

McCain died at age 81. He was buried yesterday at his alma mater, the U.S. Naval Academy. (Saipan Tribune)
