The CNMI Museum of History and Culture and Saipan Southern High School’s Student Council have partnered for a carwash fundraiser this Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 8am to 3pm.

The SSHS Student Council is donating part of the proceeds from the carwash to the museum.

NMI Museum executive director Danny Aquino said the museum has been reaching out to the various public schools on Saipan last year to collaborate with the museum on a carwash fundraiser and he is very glad that the Saipan Southern High Student Council decided to have one on museum grounds.

Every carwash ticket bought would give the holder two free entries into the museum for a tour while they wait for their car to be washed and vacuumed.

Aquino hopes other schools would decide to hold carwash fundraisers at the NMI Museum because it’s an ideal place and allows individuals to go into the museum free since they have now expanded their operations from Monday to Saturday.

Aside from the carwash fundraiser, the Marianas Visitors Authority and the CNMI Humanities Council will be hosting private events on museum grounds in the next couple of months.

For more information about the carwash or for tickets call Elaiza Suarez at 783-0951, or Patsy Atalig at 788-2401. (PR)
