Phone numbers for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance
The CNMI Department of Labor continues to work with the U.S. Department of Labor in launching the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance program and the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation program.
“The CNMI’s PUA Implementation Plan is in review by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration. This week, CNMI DOL is in training sessions for Phase One of the Plan, which is the Initial Claims process. Another training session this week is for the Adjudication and Determinations. At the same time, DOL staff continue to ensure that the services are provided to the public, as much as possible,” said Labor Secretary Vicky Benavente.
CNMI DOL understands the public has many questions about these new programs. “We understand the need and importance for these programs to be implemented quickly, correctly, and securely. At this time, there are still many CNMI specific aspects to operations and logistics that are being finalized with our federal partners. As soon as that operational programming is completed and approved by USDOL, CNMI DOL will publish community resources and guidance,” added Benavente.
If you have general questions regarding the PUA and FPUC programs, you may call any of the dedicated phone numbers for PUA/FPUC information between the hours of 8am and 12pm, Monday to Friday. The phone numbers are 989-9090, 989-9089, 989-9084, 989-9083, 989-9081, or 989-9080.
If CNMI DOL is unable to answer your questions at the time of your call, you will receive a callback. If you cannot get through the line, try again or email info@puamarianas.com. Please do not send personal or sensitive information via email.
These numbers are subject to change and may be reassigned to certain PUA/FPUC functions after implementation, such as processing appeals or reporting fraud. For the latest contact information and guidance, visit the website at marianaslabor.net or governor.gov.mp. (PR)
