The American Red Cross NMI Chapter recently donated 2,000 33-gallon trash bags to the Division of Environmental Quality.
“We hope that these bags will help in a small way to support the outstanding efforts of DEQ and many groups here in the CNMI that are conducting beach and trash clean ups,” said John Hirsh, the NMI Chapter’s executive director. “Everyone in our community needs to place a priority on keeping our beaches clean. The Red Cross has supported beach cleanups for many years and has in the past adopted a beach in Lau Lau.” (ARC)
