Regional assessment at NBG

SANTA RITA, Guam—A Regional Assessment is scheduled to be conducted on U.S. Naval Base Guam on May 1-4.

RASS is part of Commander Naval Installation Command’s Navy security force shore assessment and certification cycle. A team from Joint Region Marianas will review all aspects of the installation’s emergency services.

The Force Protection Condition may be elevated requiring full ID card checks at the gates. Additionally, the Trusted Traveler program—a program that authorizes DoD ID card holders to escort guests onto NBG—may be suspended during the higher FPCON.

As part of the assessment, the NBG Giant Voice system may be activated, and residents in surrounding areas of the GV speakers may hear announcements. (PR)
