Registration for the 2019 Mt. Tapochao Turkey Trot Run, hosted by the Northern Marianas Athletics in celebration of Thanksgiving Day, has started.

This Thursday’s race will have runners covering the 4.2-mile course that will start at Lower Base and end at the highest peak on island. The run will start at 6am, while sign up is scheduled at 5am. Entry fees are $10 for adult runners and $5 for participants in the U18 age group.

NMA is expecting over 100 runners to join the event that has become a tradition on Saipan for more than three decades.

Last year, repeat winner Keith Longuski and first-timer Eleina Santos led the finishers of the Turkey Trot. Longuski timed in at 38:08 for his third first place honors (overall), while Santos submitted 48:49 to rule the women’s overall division.

Besides the men’s and women’s overall top finishers, NMA will also recognize the first placers in various age groups: U12, U17, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, and 50 and over.

Registration is available online via google form under the name 2019 Northern Marianas Athletics Mt. Tapochao Turkey Trot Run.
