Relief aid for Filipinos on Saipan

The Philippine Consulate General in Guam, in coordination with the office of Philippine honorary consul to the CNMI Glicerio Arago, will again be handing out relief assistance to 200 Filipino nationals on Saipan.

The relief assistance distribution will take place on Friday, Nov. 16, at the Kristo Rai Parish Social Hall in Garapan. Distribution begins at 8:30am.

Those claiming the relief distribution must provide a photocopy of a valid Philippine passport (data page/photo page of passport). Bring a pen.

This will be the consulate’s third relief assistance distribution to the Filipinos in the CNMI since Super Typhoon Yutu hit in late October. In the first and second relief distribution, the consulate handed out cash aid.

• The cash assistance will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

• This relief assistance will be initially limited to 400 slots, hence relief distribution will be limited to one person per family/household to allow the consulate to serve as many households as possible.

• “We appeal for everyone’s patience and understanding,” the consulate said in a statement. (Saipan Tribune)
