Robbery on Navy Hill
Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help for a robbery incident that occurred on Navy Hill.
Early Tuesday morning, Aug. 22, 2017, at about 1:57am, police met with the victim, a 34-year-old Asian female, and learned that she was alone driving up Navy Hill from the Chalan Arnold Pale traffic light intersection when she first noticed the suspect car, described only as dark colored, following her.
The car followed her up Navy Hill to the parking lot of her apartment on Navy Hill. The victim parked her car in the apartment parking lot and witnessed the suspect’s car park nearby. The victim had just gotten off her car when the suspect approached her. He was described as male, dark skinned, about 5’9” tall, heavily built, in his 30s, and wearing a dark-colored short-sleeved shirt. The suspect grabbed the victim’s purse and they struggled. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect ran into the suspect’s car and drove away. The victim was not seriously injured in the incident.
Items stolen include one Louis Vuitton bag with red trimming, a black iPhone 7, a gold-colored Samsung S6 Edge cell phone, driver’s license, house key, credit cards, and about $700 cash.
