Rota casino commission owes former executive director $60,000
Antolin said the amount includes past due salary and reimbursement.
He said he has not gotten paid since July 2011.
“The executive director should be included in this appropriation,” he added.
House Local Bill 17-83, introduced by Rep. Teresita Santos (Ind-Rota), is now with the governor after the Rota Legislative Delegation passed it on first and final reading on July 12.
Of the $13,000 being appropriated for the Rota Casino Gaming Commission, $5,000 will be for legal counsel, $7,500 for commissioners’ compensation, and $500 for operations.
Right now, however, there is no operating casino on Rota. The one that has a license stopped operations temporarily.
