Saipan sobriety checkpoints
The Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Section will be conducting sobriety checkpoints on Saipan on Dec. 24.
The first checkpoint is from 8pm to 10pm, along Beach Road Chalan Lau Lau to Beach Road Chalan Piao.
The second checkpoint is from 11pm to 1am along Chalan Pale Arnold, Puerto Rico to Chalan Pale Arnold, Chalan Lau Lau;
Each checkpoint will last 75 minutes or 1 hour and 15 minutes. Checkpoints will be terminated when it rains.
Traffic and patrol officers will be actively conducting speed enforcement, aggressive driving interdiction program and will be conducting highway criminal interdiction. (DPS)
