Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s help for a robbery incident that occurred in Batto Place, San Antonio.
On Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017, at about 10:42pm, police met with the victim, a 28-year-old Asian male. The victim was driving his car east on Batto Place, when three local men walked in front of his car, forcing the victim to stop the car. The first suspect jumped into the victim’s back seat and strangled the victim from behind, restraining the victim against the driver’s seat. The second suspect opened the driver’s door and grabbed the victim’s cell phone and wallet that were in a cup holder. The second suspect took money from the wallet and the cell phone while a third suspect stood by the car watching the crime occur.
All three suspects ran east toward a barracks area, disappearing into the dark. The victim was unable to describe the three suspects due to poor visibility.
The items stolen included $160 cash, an iPhone 6 cell phone, and the victim’s CNMI driver’s license. The victim refused medical treatment.

Lesson one. Keep doors locked and windows up. Lesson two. Don’t stop for any reason when a group like this stands in the road to block your way. Lesson three. Get a car cam. Then it will not be your word against theirs.
Next time run them over…
Use “find my iphone” feature with icloud to locate the phone, hopefully locate the robber, or at least get some info of the robber from whomever the phone was given or sold to.
