Share

There will be a scheduled power interruption on Saturday, May 5, from 5am to 10am, affecting Gualo Rai Middle Road to Chalan Laulan (along Chalan Pale Arnold Road). No water well will be affected but the GR-1 wastewater lift station will be affected.

There will be another power interruption from 12pm to 2pm, affecting As Perdido Road in As Perdido. No water well or wastewater lift station will be affected.

The purpose of the power interruptions is to de-energize primary lines of the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. and allow line crews to safely replace three wooden power poles with concrete poles. Two wooden poles will be replaced along Chalan Pale Arnold Road and one wooden pole will be replaced along As Perdido Road in As Perdido. Both project tasks are part of CUC’s Hazard Mitigation Project that entails the replacement of 787 wooden poles with concrete poles.

A total of 366 wooden poles have been replaced with concrete poles. The remaining 421 wooden poles are scheduled for replacement in the future.

CUC asks that travelers commuting along the working areas during the project hours to exercise caution when driving through the affected area.
