The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has updated its scheduled power interruptions for May 22-25 due to the early completion of Primary Source Electric’s work these past few days.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 22, 2019 – 7:30am to 6:30pm
• Outage type: Sectionalized lateral outage on the Kiya 2 distribution circuit
• Village location: San Antonio
• Power service area(s) affected: Chalan Monsignor Road, San Antonio (energized at 9:40 a.m.), Pacific Islands Club will remain offline until 6:30pm
• Water service area(s) affected: None
• Wastewater service area(s) affected: None
• Work to be performed: Replace damaged power lines with new power lines

THURSDAY, MAY 23, 2019 – 7:30am to 6:30pm
• Outage type: Sectionalized lateral outage on the Kiya 2 distribution circuit
• Village location: San Antonio
• Power service area(s) affected: Pacific Islands Club
• Water service area(s) affected: None
• Wastewater service area(s) affected: None
• Work to be performed: Replace damaged power lines with new power lines

THURSDAY, MAY 23, 2019 – 7:30am to 6:30pm
• Outage type: Sectionalized lateral outage on the Kiya 1 distribution circuit
• Village location: Dandan
• Power service area(s) affected: ARFF and Skydive Saipan
• Water service area(s) affected: None
• Wastewater service area(s) affected: None
• Work to be performed: Replace damaged power lines with new power lines

FRIDAY, MAY 24, 2019 – 7:30am to 6:30pm
• Outage type: Sectionalized lateral outage on the Kiya 2 distribution circuit
• Village location: Koblerville
• Power service area(s) affected: Portions of Chalan Monsignor Martinez Road, Koblerville (for residents along the Korean Methodist Church to the Koblerville Mobil Gas Station). See map for further details.

• Work to be performed: Replace damaged power lines with new power lines

SATURDAY, MAY 25, 2019 – 7:30am to 6:30pm
• Outage type: Sectionalized lateral outage on the Kiya 2 distribution circuit
• Village location: Koblerville
• Power service area(s) affected: Portions of Chalan Monsignor Martinez Road, Koblerville (for residents along the Korean Methodist Church to the Koblerville Mobil Gas Station). See map for further details.
• Water service area(s) affected: None
• Wastewater service area(s) affected: None
• Work to be performed: Replace damaged power lines with new power lines

The purpose of the scheduled power interruptions is to de-energize utility lines and allow power line workers from PSE to safely conduct maintenance associated with the ongoing restoration effort in the aforementioned locations.

Because of the scale of work that will be performed, CUC asks travelers to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the working area.

As a result of the hardening tasks, CUC’s power distribution system will be stronger and much more reliable during a natural disaster.
