Scheduled power outage on Saturday at Kiya 2

Share

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. said there will be a scheduled power interruption on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, from 7:30am to 2:30pm.

The purpose of the power interruption is to de-energize the primary lines to allow the CUC line crew to safely replace four deteriorated primary power poles. Two primary poles will be replaced at the intersection of Agingan Point and two other primary poles will be replaced in front of the former U.I.C. garment factory in San Antonio.

Areas to be affected are the Kiya 2 (last partial): Koblerville (Agingan Point, Mobil gas station); San Antonio Village, Afetnas (the former Join Us Store to Lower Afetnas); and Chalan Piao (Shoda’s lateral).

Because of the scale of work that will be performed, travelers are asked to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas.
