Scheduled power outage on Wednesday
There will be a scheduled power interruption this Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, from 5:30am to 11:30am, according to a notice from the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.
The purpose of the power interruption is to de-energize the primary lines to allow the CUC line crew to safely conduct distribution system upgrade, by replacing the primary lines on Alaihai Avenue in Garapan. This is an effort to strengthen the integrity of the distribution circuit.
Because of the scale of work that will be performed, travelers are encouraged to take alternate routes or to exercise caution when driving through the affected areas. (CUC)
