Sugar Dock to undergo cleanup, facelift on Sat.

The Division of Coastal Resources Management’s Adopt-A-Beach program will be hosting a beach cleanup and beautification event at Sugar Dock beach on Saturday, April 12, starting at 9am for Environmental Awareness Month. DCRM staff, Mount Carmel School’s staff and students, and local artists will be cleaning up the beaches and repainting the pavilions. Come join us and help cleanup one of Saipan’s most popular beaches.

Keeping Saipan free of litter and marine debris provides residents and wildlife with a healthy environment. Trash can cause injury, sickness, and other dangers to us and our environment. The best way to keep trash off the beaches is to take your trash home.

Due to this event, the Sugar Dock pavilions will be closed on Saturday. So please no picnics or barbecues until after the cleanup and painting. Come back to Sugar Dock on Sunday to enjoy the pavilions. Help us clean up Saipan—see you all at Sugar Dock on April 12! (PR)
