Team NMI advances to baseball semifinals
Team NMI advanced to the semifinals of the baseball competition of the Northern Marianas Pacific Mini Games 2022 after overpowering Fiji, 23-3, yesterday at the Francisco “Tan’Ko” M. Palacios Baseball Field.
Guam and Palau are contesting the top spot and played again last night after Guam beat Palau on Wednesday, tying the NMI and Palau in the team standings with 3-1 win-loss records each.
As of press time, NMI is waiting to play the loser of the Guam vs. Palau game. After NMI plays them today at 1pm, the winner will advance to the gold medal game at 6:30pm tonight.
The team who loses the game at 1pm will be the automatic bronze medalist.
