Temporary water service interruption for Puerto Rico
Commonwealth Utilities Corp. customers in portions of Puerto Rico and Garapan will experience a temporary water service interruption Tuesday as Engineering and Operations personnel investigate a possible rupture in the 16-inch main distribution line.
Customers along Chalan Pale Arnold from Shell Puerto Rico to Micro Beach Road, south Garapan, Commonwealth Healthcare Corp., the Port of Saipan, and Lower Navy Hill will experience a temporary service interruption Tuesday morning at 9am when CUC Water Operations personnel begin excavating the site of the suspected leak.
Motorists are urged to take precautions while driving in the area as CUC Water personnel will close one lane of traffic during the excavation and subsequent pipeline repairs. While CUC is unable to offer an exact time for the completion of the project, repair and replacement work is expected to be completed by the end of the day with the resumption of regular water service to resume Wednesday morning.
