The World We Live In
Oh, what a wonderful world we live in!
Hearing chirps and tweets in early morning.
As the warm sun rays caress my rough skin –
The way things were but slowly reforming.
Oh, what an endearing world we live in!
Hearing the birds’ melodies disappear.
As Mother Nnature continues to spin,
The once colorful landscape turns drear.
Oh, what a barbaric world we live in!
Hearing gunshots and sirens each morning.
Cold metal on my neck, slowly bleedin’ –
The way things are quickly deforming.
The world we live in…violence wins fights.
The world we live in…there’s no equal rights.
