TMS reels 2nd win in v-ball
Tanapag Middle School Tatagas reeled in their second win in the NMIVA-PSS Interscholastic Girls Middle School Volleyball League 2024-2025 last Tuesday at the Marianas High School Gymnasium.
The Tatagas wrangled with the Saipan International School Lady Geckos and won in two easy sets.
TMS’ rotation of Ziella Sablan, Jonielle Sablan, Miku Sharry, Mia Rogopes, Kaleenamae Ada, Sheryl Vinuya, Aaleyah Fatialofa, Cheyenne Camacho, and Kayshlie Aguon quickly overpowered the Lady Geckos from the get go as they established an early lead with a series of well-placed serves and returns.
The Lady Geckos tried to fend them off with some impressive saves and serves of their own, but they were no match for the Tatagas, who dominated the first set, 21-12.
The second set was another walk in the park for the Tatagas, as the Lady Geckos struggled to respond and were unable to return the relentless attacks. In the end, the Tatagas wrapped up the match with a second set win, 21-10.
In other results that day, Dandan Middle School Tottots II won over Saipan International School II, 15-21, 21-14, 15-6; Francisco M. Sablan Middle School II beat Chacha Ocean View Middle School Lancherus II, 21-17, 21-17; and Hopwood Middle School Hilitais survived the Grace Christian Academy Lady Eagles in three sets, 8-21, 21-15, 15-11.
In the varsity standings, Mount Carmel School Knights and the Tottots lead with three wins and no losses each; GCA and HMS are at two wins and one loss; FMS is at one win and two losses; TMS are at an even 1-1 record; COVMS are at three losses; and SIS are at two losses.
