Transfer station, Marpi landfill resume normal hours

Effective yesterday, Aug. 24, 2015, the Lower Base Transfer Station and the Marpi Landfill returned to normal operations, which is open six days a week, from 7:30am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday. The scale houses at both facilities will still be opened through lunch time, 11:30am to 12:30pm, and accepts customers.

Again, any excess of 500 lbs free in one trip per week from residents will continue to be waived until further notice. This means household municipal solid wastes (trash/garbage) during the week in multiple trips by residents will not be charged.
