Transfer Station, Marpi Landfill to return to pre-Soudelor operations

Solid Waste Management Division said effective Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, the Lower Base Transfer Station and the Marpi Landfill will return to its regular pre-Typhoon Soudelor operations. This means a residential disposer or individual homeowner who hauls refuse generated from his own residence is allowed up to 500 lbs without charge in a single trip per week, and any excess weight will be charged on a per ton basis. Disposal rates still remain unchanged for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and Special Waste.
