Tribute Zumba fundraiser today for Sanje
A Zumba Marathon Fundraiser will be held today, Thursday, from 6pm to 7:30pm at The Roundhouse at the Garapan Park as a tribute to the late Bobby Nacario Sanje, a longtime dance instructor and Zumba leader on Saipan.
According to Joseph Caranto, a Zumba instructor who is one of the organizers of the Thursday event, tickets are being sold at $10 each, and the proceeds will be given to the family. Other Zumba groups, as well as Sanje’s Zumba group, Fitness in Motion, will reportedly participate in tonight’s event.
Fitness in Motiohas participated in past Liberation Day festivities, Taste of the Marianas, etc.
It was reported that Sanje was a great motivator and would often call members if they fail to attend a Zumba session. Patient and understanding, he reminded his group participants to engage in Zumba for health benefits.
The funeral Mass for Sanje was held Monday at the San Antonio church. (PR)
