Upgrade your wardrobe at Next Level Thrift

Step up your game and spruce up your wardrobe at the Next Level Thrift and Consignment Shop located on the 3rd floor, suite 303 of the Marianas Business Plaza in Susupe.
You will never know what you may find—a piece of clothing, accessory, shoes, and other items that may be added as bling into your wardrobe and mix and match for a style uniquely your own, as you venture through the intimate and cozy space of the shop.
With scented candles made by Candle J and beautiful handcrafted jewelry by Islandry670, it can be your one stop shop for gifts or a treat just for yourself.
Either way, the friendly face of shop manager Kyle Hocog is always ready and willing to help you find that missing piece, because as they say—one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
Items in the shop range from as low as $5 to $35. On certain Saturdays, they have promotions that are out of the ordinary. A promotion called “Special Sale Saturday” takes place, in which for a fixed price you purchase a bag, and shoppers can fill it up with as much as they can as long as they are able to close it. The conditions are: there is a time limit, the bags will be provided by the staff, and it’s on a first-come, first-serve basis. Consignment items are excluded from the sale.
The shop, under the nonprofit Latte Training Academy, opened last May and since then has been providing its customers with quality, pre-loved items. It’s open from 8am to 5pm, Tuesday to Friday, and 9am to 3pm on Saturday.
Hocog said that along with being a thrift shop, it ultimately is also a training ground for customer service and retail operations for students in the academy.
“The shop came into creation because we understand that retail plays a huge role in the CNMI. Whether it’s business owners or even people getting into the retail industry for work, that’s kind of what the training program touches on: customer service and retail operations. We thought it would be a good way to leverage what we do to help train the CNMI workforce. Here, we do on the job training where they can get hands-on, practical learning, on top of the online curriculum that they have to learn,” said Hocog.
So, not only does it provide customers with unique, affordable, and quality clothing, it also empowers small businesses through consignment opportunities, as well as training and developing the workforce within the customer service and retail industry.
