The U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands, located in the Horiguchi Building, will reopen to the public today, Aug. 12, 2015, and resume regular business hours, Monday through Friday (except federal holidays), from 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm. The Clerk’s Office will be open from 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 3:30pm until further notice.

The suspension of filing deadlines, pursuant to General Order 15-10, is lifted, effective Monday, Aug. 17, 2015.

“The court recognizes the severe disruption of personal and work lives caused by Typhoon Soudelor and will be inclined to grant requests to extend deadlines for a reasonable period,” said chief Judge Ramona Manglona in General Order 15-11 she issued yesterday.

Separate orders will issue in individual cases setting new hearing dates and filing deadlines that were continued or suspended during the period of the federal court’s closure.
