US provides $5.3M Compact payments in Dec.

In December, the FSM Department of Finance received Compact Grant Assistance payments from the U.S. government totaling $5.3 million. These payments were for Compact Sector Grants, Carry-Over Sector Grants, and Supplementary Education Grants:

• Education, $ 1,844,885

• Health, $ 1,802,614

• Supplementary Education Grant, $ 994,975

• Public Sector Capacity Building, $ 181,355

• Infrastructure, $ 141,964

• Private Sector Development, $ 131,305

• Environment, $ 122,047

• Enhanced Reporting and Accountability, $ 96,463

• Total Amount, $ 5,315,608

This amount is provided to the States of the FSM as follows:

• Chuuk, $ 2,454,644

• Kosrae, $ 687,000

• Pohnpei, $ 1,450,127

• Yap, $ 723,837 (U.S. Embassy Kolonia)
