USS O’Kane crew members take part in beach cleanup

Five sailors from the guided-missile destroyer, USS O’Kane, visiting Saipan for much-needed rest and recreation for the officers and crew, gave of their time on Wednesday morning and assisted Micronesia Islands Nature Alliance’s Tasi-Watch rangers and the Saipan Chamber of Commerce with a cleanup at Garapan Fishing Base.
The rangers reported 180 lbs of trash collected at the site, and extend their deepest appreciation to these gentlemen and their efforts to improve Saipan’s environment.
