The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. said yesterday that repair work on a damaged water line that has affected the areas of Kannat Tabla, Chalan Kiya, Fina Sisu, El Toro Road, portions of As Perdido, As Lito, and Lower Dandan is expected to be finished today, Friday, Nov. 22, at 6am.

Customers in the affected areas should expect restoration of water services soon after.

CUC earlier reported that an 8-inch main water line was damaged, but it was confirmed later that it was a 14-inch water main line instead. CUC’s water operations personnel are currently repairing the damaged waterline and it is taking longer than expected because of the extensive damage of the line.

For the safety of our men and women working at the site, motorists are advised to proceed with caution when traveling by the area.

CUC continues to work diligently to minimize any inconvenience to its customers. For more information, contact the CUC Customer Call Center (664-4282) or monitor our Facebook page for the latest updates (https://www.facebook.com/CommonwealthUtilitiesCorporation/). (PR)
