Water service restored to San Roque, Tanapag
Water service was restored to customers in the villages of San Roque and Tanapag this afternoon when Commonwealth Utilities Corp. Water personnel repaired a ruptured 2-inch lateral line under Chalan Pale Arnold.
As a result of the interruption, customers regularly scheduled to receive water until 3pm will now receive water until 7pm tonight. Service to the affected areas will resume with the regular daily schedule tomorrow morning.
Though the excavated area will be filled and the lane opened for traffic, motorists are urged to use caution when driving through area until a CUC contractor completes the final road repair.
Service was initially interrupted Sunday, Jan. 31, when CUC water personnel verified reports of water bubbling from the road. This morning, the CUC leak detection team pinpointed the location of the line break through the use of ground miking equipment, which allowed the repair crew to isolate, excavate, and repair the rupture.
