The Superior Court has imposed a $10,000 cash bail on a woman who allegedly threatened another woman with a machete in a dispute over a missing $50.

Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho imposed a $10,000 cash bail on Queena Fitial for allegedly threatening another woman with a machete and also taking the woman’s cellphone.

Fitial was arrested on Oct. 30, and was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, burglary, assault, and disturbing the peace.

Following her bail hearing last week, Fitial was remanded back to the custody of the Department of Corrections. Fitial is set to return to court on Nov. 12 at 9am for a preliminary hearing; she will be arraigned on Nov. 17.

The court appointed the Public Defender’s Office to represent Fitial, while assistant attorney general Heather Barcinas appeared for the government.

According to court documents, Fitial was arrested last week for threatening her female neighbor with a machete. Fitial allegedly accused the woman of stealing her $50 after drinking beer with her the night before. Fitial, who was allegedly armed with a machete, demanded that her neighbor return the money.

Fitial also allegedly forcefully entered the apartment of the victim and managed to grab the victim’s cell phone while she was calling the police.
