Woman hurt after ex-boyfriend allegedly beat her up
A woman was injured after her former boyfriend allegedly beat her up upon seeing her walking home with a male friend in Garapan last Wednesday night.
The victim had a black eye, swelling on her face, and a cut on her lip.
Felix Muna Kileleman, 24, was arrested Friday for assault and battery, criminal mischief, and disturbing the peace. His bail was set Monday at $20,000 cash.
Superior Court Associate Judge Wesley Bogdan set the preliminary hearing for April 19.
A woman called police last Thursday morning to report that her daughter had been beaten up.
The police officer met with the victim in China Town and she stated that her former boyfriend, Kileleman, beat her up.
In her interview with the police last Friday, she alleged that she was drinking with a friend at a hotel in Garapan last Wednesday night. After that, a male friend volunteered to walk her home. While they were walking by Magandang Utang Store along Garapan Street, they met Kileleman. The victim heard her friend telling Kileleman he does not want any problems. Her friend then left.
As the victim was walking toward her apartment, Kileleman followed her and was mumbling.
When she saw a woman in front of Nam Dai Restaurant, she told her to call the police.
Kileleman allegedly got more upset and broke her cellphone by throwing it on the ground.
As she turned around to run, Kileleman allegedly grabbed her hair, dragged her down to the pavement, and punched her face several times. She said Kileleman threatened he would find her friend and beat him up too.
In a police interview with Kileleman last Friday, the suspect admitted beating up the victim out of anger and acknowledged that what he did was wrong.
