Saipan SandCastle illusionist duo heads for Guam

Zubrick Magic & Illusion is thrilled to reveal their next headlining engagement scheduled to premiere next year at the luxurious SandCastle Dinner Theatre, a division of the Baldyga Group on the island of Guam. This announcement comes near the completion of a successful 7 ½-year run as the headlining entertainment at the SandCastle Saipan.

Since 2007, Chris and Ryan have co-produced and headlined “The Magic of Saipan” at the SandCastle Saipan inside the Hyatt Regency Saipan. The island of Saipan is located in the Northern Mariana Islands and is a premier vacation destination for many Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Russian tourists. Their show was selected as “Best Show on Island” for seven consecutive years running. Chris and Ryan, having performed over 4,000 shows on Saipan, thrill and excite audiences from all over the world. (That’s over 68,000 costume changes!)

Beginning in April 2015, Chris and Ryan will be the featured artists and star in the SandCastle Guam’s gorgeous 500-seat dinner theatre for the next five years. Their show will entice international audiences from the moment they step on stage until the final curtain falls. From intimate sleight-of-hand to stunning grand illusion, this magical duo guarantees to deliver even greater adventures in a world filled with mystical illusion and intoxicating magic.

Although the details of their new show in Guam have yet to be unveiled, Chris and Ryan have been collaborating with Baldyga Group’s director of Entertainment, Chuck McCarroll, and the show’s artistic director/choreographer, Christopher Childers, to create a breathtaking performance.

“It was an easy decision to bring Zubrick Magic & Illusion to Guam,” said McCarroll, “Their performance has grown leaps and bounds during the last 7½ years on Saipan and I look forward to seeing their continued success on the Guam stage!”

A sneak peek inside the pre-production meetings uncovers a show that will feature Chris and Ryan’s unique theatrical style reminiscent of the legendary Las Vegas showmanship from years gone by.

Ryan Zubrick offered these tidbits, “We know that it will be a throwback to the old Las Vegas-style revue shows, complete with showgirls in feathers and majestic Bengal tigers.”

Chris Zubrick echoed those sentiments as he added, “We’re delighted to be working closely with Las Vegas-based illusion builder Tim Clothier to design and construct extraordinary props, illusions and set design elements.”

SandCastle Guam opened its doors in 1990 and has featured many exceptional magicians over the years including Tim Kole, The Majestics, Mark Kalin and Jinger, Rick Thomas, and now welcomes illusionists Chris and Ryan of Zubrick Magic & Illusion to the stage.

The SandCastle Guam is conveniently located in the heart of Tumon village, Guam’s tourist district affectionately known as “Pleasure Island.” Guam is the largest of the Mariana Island chain in the Western Pacific and is a popular vacation destination for Japanese, Korean and Russian travelers.

Zubrick Magic & Illusion’s performance at the SandCastle Guam is a must-see if ever you have the opportunity to visit the beautiful tropical island. In the meantime, visit to get a sneak peek at their performance that is timeless, fast-paced, classic and cutting edge all at once. From transforming tigers to the traditional Sawing-a-Woman-in-Half; from their world-renowned Triple Levitation and the perilous Table-of-Death; Chris and Ryan will have you laughing out loud, holding your breath in anticipation, and sitting on the edge of your seat throughout their unparalleled performance.
