Gov. Ralph DLG Torres meets with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office to discuss Chinese visa waiver program today, Tuesday, in Washington, D.C., according to Jason Osborne, the Office of the Governor’s representative in Washington, D.C.

Clearly, Trump wasn’t briefed on current news here before taking that meeting.
I think the Governor deserves kudos for going to the top to represent the people of the CNMI. I wish however the moment would have focused on setting up or starting permanent solutions to labor needs. Maybe collaborations on training our people with programs there for jobs in high demand and/or assistance with recruiting from areas in the mainland that need work to fill positions needed here. The focus on forever and ever depending on underpaid cw workers and tourists working illegally is in the past- just sayen
