LTA now registering for second cohort of 2018

The Latte Training Academy, Inc. has opened registration for its next set of certification cohorts.

The new sessions will kick off on April 2, 2018 with the organization’s Hotel & Hospitality Skills, Tasks and Results Training Certification course. This course has been a cornerstone for employees in the hospitality industry and is globally recognized through the industry’s prestigious American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.

The course is scheduled from April 2 through July 23, with classes occurring on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday’s from 3pm to 5pm.

“This course has been proven effective in the CNMI. Since our inception in 2013, the Latte Training Academy has offered this course in partnership with various public agencies. Our graduates have gone on to work in all areas within the hotel and hospitality industry both here in the CNMI and abroad. Many of our partner hotels throughout the island actively seek out our graduates who have gained the S.T.A.R.T. certification,” said LTA executive director Arielle Buyum.

The organization will also begin registration for its office manager certification course scheduled to begin on April 24, 2018, on Tuesday and Thursday’s from 6pm to 9pm. The inaugural offering of this course will provide participants with core competencies in a host of essential office management functions to include effective oral and written communication, financial management, and personnel management. The course is accredited through Accounting Training Unlimited and the National Bookkeepers Association.

“We are really excited about the upcoming sessions. We are launching some new courses, as well as continuing to offer courses in our fundamental areas. In addition to the Hotel & Hospitality and Business Administration courses, we will be offering sessions in Allied Health and Information Technology. We are in the process of finalizing our Barbering & Cosmetology courses with our partners in the mainland U.S., as well as our funding partners here in the CNMI,” said Buyum.
