After being chosen by a panel of local artists, the artwork of Mount Carmel School sophomore YuJeong Son is the winner of the 12th annual Northern Marianas Congressional Art Competition.

This was learned via Delegate Gregorio Kilili C. Sablan’s digital newsletter, e-Kilili, issued oner the weekend. Sablan’s office sponsors the local leg of the annual competition.

As the CNMI contest winner, Son’s artwork, Dream in the Mariana Sea, will be displayed over the coming year at the U.S. Capitol alongside the artwork from congressional districts all across the nation.

“Thank you to all the young artists who entered this year. And congratulations, YuJeong,” said Sablan said in e-Kilili. (Saipan Tribune)
