Ten company teams have signed up to compete for the title of Saipan Chamber of Commerce Corporate Challenge Champions for 2018. Going head-to-head are Pacific Islands Club, D&Q Warriors, IT&E Cobalt Explorers, BankPacific, Triple J, N15 Architects, Imperial Pacific, and Bank of Saipan. And of course, back to defend their titles are Delta Management Corp.’s Delta Force who were named 2017 Spirit Award recipients and Marianas Pacific Distributors who are the defending first place champions.
This year’s theme is “Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges.” The recent labor issues have put a strain not only on the islands’ businesses but also on its valued employees.
“We have put our people to the test: training, retraining, displacing, and replacing them. With the constant changes within our workforce, now more than ever, employees need the opportunity for unity, togetherness, and camaraderie. This event will celebrate our employees’ resiliency and ability to ‘break barriers’ and ‘build bridges’ toward a brighter future for each of our companies,” said the Chamber.
The 18th Annual Corporate Challenge will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at the Minatchom Atdao Pavilion in Susupe. The event will feature games that promote team-building and corporate wellness. The winners will be announced immediately following the day’s activities. A raffle drawing will also be held. The Chamber extends a sincere thank you to this year’s sponsors Saipan Shipping Co, Inc., Pacific Islands Club, Laolao Bay Golf Resort, Kanoa Resort, Hyatt Regency, Fiesta Resort & Spa, Let’s Go Tour Company, The Shack Saipan, D&Q Saipan, Strategic Gaming Solutions dba Club C, 360 Revolving Restaurant, and Kan Pacific.
