Jaden Pangelinan, the overall winner for the elementary level, said in her essay: “I was born with albinism. It is a genetic order that affects my vision. I am not able to see what my classmates see on the board without technology…I am able to do everything in class because of the smartboard and the iPads in my classroom. My teacher is able to enlarge the words on the smartboard so I can see everything.”
Mary Heather Jingco, the high school level winner, from Dr. Rita H. Inos, said in her essay, “All in all, there are boundless opportunities that we are able to seize with the incorporation of technology in school. Right now in the 21st century, the CNMI’s school system holds plenty of potential and we will be able to prepare our youth for the future.”

Tomaica Blas, overall winner for the early elementary level in the 2018 Digital Learning Competition, said, “One thing I like about computers is that I get to explore the world without using the airplane. …Have you ever ridden on an airplane? Well, I haven’t but I’ve seen places through my computer.”
