262 participants take part in Lions Clubs health fair
Lions Clubs International, Region 2, District 204 conducted its annual health fair at the Joeten and Daidai Social Hall, Mt. Carmel Cathedral in Susupe last Sunday with 262 participants availing services.
Health fair participants were able to take advantage of free blood pressure check, glucose check, immunization, vision check, free haircut, massage, and free reading glasses.
In addition, some also took part in a CPR demo and given pamphlets of the CHCC Non-Communicable Diseases Program and CHCC Communicable Diseases Program Diabetes awareness program.
Participants also got a raffle ticket once they availed of the six required services stations. The health fair opened with Zumba activities headed by Xtreme Fitness 670.
During the health fair, Lions Clubs International also conducted its membership drive.
Region 1 Guam leaders joined the event headed by district governor Blanca Imbo, first vice district governor Roy Adonay, second vice district governor Ronald Hidalgo, zone chairs Lota Hidalgo and John Cruz, global extension team past district governor Lion Monito Co, global leadership team coordinator Romy Villaluna, global service team coordinator and past district governor Herbie Perez, ways & means co-chair Naty Bui, and past district governor Atoy Banting of Region 2, Saipan. The Region 1 leaders donated all the prizes for the raffle drawing.

“We are happy with the turnout of our health fair and appreciate all the help and collaboration with all the service providers and sponsors, without their support our event would not be possible,” region chair Annamae Adaza said.
She was also grateful to all the Lions members volunteers headed by their global service team vice chair Maria Javier and zone chairs Arceli Lizama, Argie Buensalido, and Marcelo Masilungan.
