45 new cases, 7 hospitalized
Forty-five additional individuals have been confirmed positive for COVID-19, bringing the CNMI total to 10,734 cases since March 28, 2020.
Of the 45 cases, 17 were identified on March 18, 2022; 13 on March 19, 2022 (one on Tinian); and 15 on March 20, 2022. The vaccination statuses of the 45 cases are pending verification.
Also, as of March 21, 2022, there were seven individuals hospitalized as a result of COVID-19, all of them fully vaccinated.
Of the 10,734 total cases that have been identified in the CNMI so far, there have been 10,539 recoveries; 164 active cases; and 31 COVID-19-related deaths.
A total of 9,968 were identified via community testing and 766 via travel testing.
A total of 576 COVID-19 tests were conducted on March 18-20, 2022: 526 via Community-Based Testing; 44 at the Koblerville COVID-19 Community Center; and six at the Rota Health Center. (Saipan Tribune)
